It´s funny. I did not really make music since a couple of months. I did not even play any instrument that much. Maybe it´s because I did not have enough time (I had a lot to do with Pitiri 1977 - it´s finally finished!). Maybe it´s because I´m in that strange wheel I´ve heard about. The one that gets you when you get older. The one that let´s you think, that making music, playing in a band or trying your best to get your music heard is just...well let´s say it: futile.

I´m sick like a dog since a couple of days. Thats ok. I don´t have a job, where I need to go somewhere - I can work from home. So I did what everyone in my position would do: I watched one movie after another. While I´m watching this 12th movie or so (Cast away with Tom Hanks who has been one of my fav. actors years and years ago) I´m also checking my mails and stuff. And I just found a Song. A song of my 2nd album. Caroline - on the Mute City Album. I nearly forgot about it. Very strange.

I don´t know if you guys know or remember VH1´s "Hoch 5" (I guess it´s been called hi5 in every other country than austria). It´s all about famous people (musicians, actors, artists,...) how talk about their 5 favourite Songs and how it influenced their lifes. I think I saw it the first time when i was 15 and from this day on I always dreamt of sitting there on the Vh1 couht, talking bout my story to 5 of my favourite songs.
Well, guess what. No I had the opportunity to even talk about 12!!! of my favourite songs on the Austrian Music channel GOTV! The show´s called "Hosted by" and it´s like a dream come true for me. Ok. I am pretty exhausted. So in a very short way: The musicvideo for the new track "Radio Awesome" is finished. And guess what: it´s awesome! With the help of the best video team of all time (and maybe even longer): Ela, Phil, Tom & Conny we shot all the scenes within 4 hours in Salzburg. After one week of cutting and another one of postproduction, Radio Awesome is ready for the big screen! I am very, very, very happy. I mean really happy with the outcome! I´m really missing California sometimes. Really. I mean really. I connect so many things with Los Angeles and the surroundings. Kiss (Love gun, Dr Love,...), Steve Miller Band, 3rd eye blind and many many more (If you know me, you know that music is the most important point in every situation!). And hell yea, I miss the waves! I miss them so much, that I have decided to travel to South France with my friend Denise. Hell, it should have been a bloody gorgeous time. Instead we had the worst weather of all time, gigantic waves that have not been stable enough to ride and a strange school trip kinda feeling. God bless beer :)

But we met some new friends there. Thats cool. I mean it. Really cool. Thx for that at least! Ah as the giants said: you cant always get what you want.

Well, the last weeks were pretty heavy. I mean HEAVY. I mean heavy fucking freaking metal heavy "new heavy material from outer space" heavy. Now is the time to think about this. So what I did 1 minute ago: I made myself a beautiful gin tonic with ice cubes (more ice balls...), sat down, put in good music and started to write.

I dont want to write the things that happened. I dont want to write the good or the bad things. I just want to say: I am on the up-wave again. Well, still pretty, pretty at the beginning of the up phase, but still I can see the light again, so here (just like always) is the point:

These days I felt this feeling that is described as the "black holes of minds". You dont know about that? It is the feeling, when you can not see any escape from your situation. I mean NO FUCKING WAY OUT. It feels like a dead end of life.

So hey, you can see that I am writing. And I guess you can see that I am writing pretty positive actually. Ask me a week ago, if I would think, that things are gonna get better one day. Guess what I´d have said: "No... fuck no. Never. I....". Well, and then I would have shut up, maybe pulled out a tiny tear of my dehydrated eyes, and I would have gone back to my bed. The only "save place" in those kind of days.

But here I am.

Man, not much has been solved. There are still most of the problems there. I can see them. I can feel them. But the most important thing for solving or better for confronting problems, is a clear, positive mind. And I did not have this mind in the last couple of weeks (and so on and so on). You guys know how much I could write now about this topic. But I wont. What I will do is grab my guitar and write a couple of songs. Maybe record it. I´ll let you know. Some have already been written in some early hours when I could not sleep.

So again: the point. The important part. The thing, you have to read and believe:

Dont think there is no way out. This is just not true! There is a way out. Your problems might not be solved by time or anything, but your soul and your mental health will heal with time. Then you will be stronger than ever and you might change your life a bit and you might solve one problem after another.

Good luck to everyone who feels or felt the same way.

Good luck and trust me: it will get better. Don´t give up.

PS: the only thing that is really hard is the fact, that the college times are over and that it will probably hurt me, to listen to college rock the next few month (or years....i hope not). I´m talking bout Jimmy Eat world and so on. The tunes of the good times. Man, how I will miss those years.

I thought: well, if i did not do something in the first place, there will always be at least a second chance. I had great years here in Urstein. I had fantastic years. Great people, great emotions, great projects, great fun, great moods, great - well, great pretty everything. Sometimes a little bit sad, most of the times, freaking happy and awesome.

So its an atomic bomb to me to realize, this time will not repeat. I caught myself at this very second. I wanted to write: ... will not repeat, for a while. Truth is: it will not repeat. This was it. And even if it does not feel so hard at the moment (maybe I am still drunk of the party 2 days ago), i know - and now comes another funny part, I will end this like the guy of "stand by me" ended his story:

"I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was in Urstein. Jesus, does anybody?”

And today - the 23. of April 2010 he will sign his autobiography in the Europark in Salzburg.

So here We are, in the middle of the line. Pretty great place for the time we arrived there. But guess what happened when David Hasselhoff arrived? Everybody tried to get in the front row.... well chaos... and everyone who is "asshole" enough to give a shit on others became the winner of this situation. Another reason why I (sometimes) hate people in crowds.

Well I did not shake his hand. But I got an autograph. And he smiled when he saw my book cover. Why? I did a little paint job before i gave the book to his assistant ;)

A new tool!

50 Euro (thats really not much!), a little research and a lot of mac gyvering, and I have my own little (tiny tiny tiny) e-drum set in my room. The DD6 Practise Pad has something very special: Inputs for a bass drum and 2 hi hat pedals. Normally this is nice but the hi hat pedals are pretty useless (you can´t really play along so well with a pedal and not the stick). So I macgyvered a little hi hat out of a tuning microphone, a cd box and a cable. It works fine! Cant believe it myself! What I got not is a snare pad, a bass drum pedal (it works ok...) and a self built hi hat or cymbal pad for my room!

Be afraid!

If you are afraid of being afraid - let it be. There´s a long story behind this whole being afraid of something - thing (and don´t be afraid, I will not talk bout evolution much). I´m not talking bout the fear of a predator or the fear of a war. I´m talking about the pure feeling "fear", which can not be described until, well, until you are feeling it. It´s shocking and in most cases it crawling up your neck until it gets you.

First case: Diploma. Man! We were afraid, weren´t we!? Hell yes! This fear was one of those creeping, slowly crouching fears, that get you harder and harder every day until that one that, on which it seems to explode and - AND NOW COMES THE IMPORTANT PART - fade away. It ALWAYS turns to dust in the wind, to sparkling star powder or to whatever you wanna call "NOTHING". And here comes, what we should learn about this: Fear is necessary and it actually helps you.

Man, I would definitely haven´t learned so freaking much, if i would not been so afraid of this damn exam. It´s not only that I have learned more. I was more concentrated, I woke up earlier to start to work or to learn and I focused on only one thing (which is in my case nearly impossible!). I felt like DATA from Star Trek. Honestly. There was only this one exam. Nothing else. Pretty strange for a person, that has 10 projects aside, 50 people who´d love to drink a beer with you and 100 song ideas every minute.
So what I have learned about this whole fear thing. "Anscheißen is manchmal ziemlich wichtig!"
I´ll try to translate this: I´m sure there will be many "fear" situations in my life. And I will react exactly the same as I did in the fear situation before. And guess what: thats good! This is what makes me better (at least in those situations).

Then there is this other fear situation. The moment you fear for your life or the life of someone else. It sucks. I know. It sucks so hard, that I can not write any positive thing about it BUT the moment after the fear. Think of somebody who survived a critical moment. How happy have you been!? How much more could you enjoy your life and your moments with this person!? Fear suddenly turns into something very, very strong. An Energy, that powers you up (Man - I´m in my video games world again...whatever...you know how I am).

Long story short: Some feelings or moments need to be survived to become a better person.

of being sick so often. I don´t know what wrong with my immune system, but .... wait... I think I know. Its my fault :) I was out on wednesday (I had a little cold already), after that I went to see my brother and I came back with my Yamaha Dt 125. The sun was shining, so I thought "Hell, Why not!"... the thing is: the sun was shining, but also was the snow, still sleeping on the floor. And believe me (and everyone who owns and rides a bike knows that) its freaking triple cold on a motorbike!!! Especially when there is snow and wind. So I take this flue like a man: I stay in bed, complain a lot and play video games! Hurra!

Vienna is not my city. I know that. But I don´t know why so many people say "it is such a beautiful city" (check out the picture below). Maybe they are talking about how "nice" the city is...and I am talking about the "nett" nice: Es ist so nett dort...nett.... whatever.

I tried it there! God knows I did! But I just dont get it. I dont know why. I guess I keep on trying on.

BUT something pretty funny and nice happened on my way home. Just like a good friend of mine, people seem to enjoy talking to me in trains (what a weird sentence). While I was watching Juno on my Laptop, a little boy and his brother were getting closer carefully, they also wanted to watch it and after a while we were talking. And boy, kids have an intelligence we "grown ups" dont know anymore!! Of all the "wise" words the told me this one is my daily favorite:

"Das Wichtigste gibt´s nicht...es gibt sehr sehr wichtige Dinge, aber das wichtigste...nein sowas gibts nicht."

A 4 year old kid told me something really really true! How we came to that point? He looked at the yellow note on my laptop keys and asked what it is. I said: i put the most important things there. He did not understand it!

There was a time when things were simple, when games were simple. The times of Rock n Roll. The times where I found out about Rock n Roll. How cool is the fact, that there was a game called "Rock n Roll Racing" on the Super Nintendo!? Hav´ya eva played it? You have to! Honestly, this game is a milestone in game history. I would say it is the first game, that has used real existing songs to pump up the game value. Besides, the game itself is fantastic too: Drive, shoot, listen to an awsome game moderator. The stage is set the green flag drops! Rock on!

The Opel GT/J (Yes! "J") seems to be my car! And not only because of the fantastic name!! It looks like the replica of a 75 Corvette (which I love...and which i love not only because mark hamill once owned one...and please dont ask who mark hamill is...not again) and was hidden in some old gas station near my brothers home. The guy who owns the car said, he would never ever sell this masterpiece of engineering. I totally understand him!

I can hear good again. Thats....guess what: its good! It´s fantastic and actually I can´t remember when I was as happy, as when I left the specialist for ears a couple of hours ago. I must confess: I sang in my brothers car on my way home. So much to my listening abilities.
What´s still there is this uncool, annoying, very,very unhelpful "iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii" sound in my left ear. It will stay there for a couple of weeks - the doctor said - and it will hopefully fade away within that time. I really hope so too.

But for the fun part: here are the pills I am allowed to swallow!

Okay, here the short version: Jot in Key Wi Music Story. Buying new Crash for drumset. They have to order it. Will be there in 3 days.

I - like always- need to buy anything, so i take a little iron plectron (see picture below). Aaaaaaand-and that is the best part - I got this little piece of metal for free! Just as I confronted the guy behind the counter how much it will be, he said: Ah, just take it. It´s yours. I like that! I love it when stuff like that is happening in our - nothing is free/eat or die world.

To everyone who has not seen one of those movies:

Dazed & confused shows the last day of school before the summer hollidays of several suburbian, U.s. Teenagers in the Mid Seventees.

Elephant shows a couple of days of several suburbian U.s. teenagers in the late 90´s. On the last of these days, 2 boys take their guns and rifles to school and start shooting randomly on students and teachers.

Honestly, I always thought Dazed & confused is a very sensitive view on highschools and the people inside. But I guess that is, because I am a bit starry eyed. The truth is, the view of Dazed & confused might have worked for me, cause my school life was a bit like it. Times have changed I guess. I was lucky I guess. I´m afraid I do not know any longer which one of these movies is more authentic. And I´m even more afraid, that nowadays, it might be Elephant.

My cousin told me this story when I was about ten. And believe me, he was a damn good story teller. We were on vacation in Parga - greece, and we were living in a small hut-house sourounded by a pretty big orange garden (I remember it somehow hippie-like). My cousin told me and my brother a chapter each day (did i mention that he could tell storys like a master!?). After 2 weeks, I could not sleep, i could not go to the bathroom alone and I just wanted to hear how the kids in the book kill this monster. Really, if my cousin would never have told me, I could not sleep in well to the present day. When I saw the movie, I did not even blink. Dont missunderstand me, its a great movie (and a fantastic stephen king movie!!), but the story in my head was much more cruel, horrible and scary!

Meet the burbs

Ahhhh ...again, another good movie memory with my brother. I cant remember any movie, beside Hot Shots 2, that was so funny to me as a kid, than mee the burbs. I still love watching it, and now, that i have been to the us and that i have seen some suburbs and esp. THIS SUBURB in the UNIVERSAL STUDIOS, i like the movie even more. I dont want to tell you any joke of this one, please - just watch the movie. It is geniously briliant!

I´m absolutely, super upset! Wo-ho! Ok, I try to calm down and tell you the whole story:

A couple of weeks ago Mr. X and I went to the local supermarked in Puch Urstein. We didn´t expect anything weird to happen, but guess what, it DID happen. I just wanted to pay my bill, as I realized: There are no freakin´ Kinder Überraschung (aka kinder surprise) anyhere! I ased the lady in the shop - she didnt know. Mr x.... didnt know. The internet .... didnt know! So what I thought in the end: The toys of Kinder Überraschung were becoming worse and worse in the last ten years, maybe the people at "Kinder" thought - hell, if we can not make good products anymore, why make them at all. Lets just stop Kinder Überraschung and PISS JÜRGEN OFF LIKE HELL!!!!!!! I swear! That (or something in that direction) I thought at the time.

Ok ...the weeks pass. Today I went schopping to that very supermarked and what I saw blew me away: Kinder Überraschung, right in front of me, just at the shop Exit! I bought 2 - of course - and couldn´t wait to get home! When I opened my Überraschung, I couldnt believe my eyes. The toy.... it was: AWESOME!!!!!! It was better then anything "Überraschunglike" I have seen in the last 10 years. It was a BIG YELLOW DIGGER! A real - looking one. And I DID NOT EVEN PUT THE STICKERS ON IT! My god, can that day get any better!?

My brother will be so jealous!!!
